Christina Aguilera ditches her heavy makeup for the cover of Marie Claire

Christina Aguilera wouldn’t be herself sans her heavy makeup, especially her trademark red lips and heavy eye make-up. She however opted to go for the fresher and lighter look for her Marie Claire cover assignment.

 

She has always been vocal about her love and preference for cosmetics, saying it is one of her creative outlets. She said it is all about looking good and part of her responsibility as an entertainer to provide her fans an immaculate look at all times.Aguilera is one of the most successful singers of her generation. In fact, she is considered one of the 20 richest women in the business.

This is not the first time that celeb makeup lover, Christina Aguilera ditched her heavy make-up though, because she also did that for her debut film Burlesque. While you wouldn’t recognize her without her iconic look, she however looks fresh and gullible without make-up on. Madonna goes from Luis Vuitton to Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana (D&G), an Italian brand, found a perfect global super model and 51 year old material girl for an upcoming ad campaign. Madonna who is now with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for D&G’s Spring 2010 ad campaign, was earlier with French fashion house Luis Vuitton and now Lara Stone is in Luis Vuitton’s Spring 2010 ad campaign. While modeling for Luis Vuitton, Madonna showed off some sexy womens shoes that sold out father than you can say Dolce and Gabbana! It has been around 18 years of a good friendship with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Madonna is perfect fit with this D&G’s theme “Sexy Italian Housewife” and the ads are black and white shot by Steven Klein.

Leighton Meester, Singer?

Leighton Meester is singing “Birthday” these days and we like what we are hearing! But is that voice really hers, or a product of the high-technology music studio equipment?

 

If you are a Gossip Girl fanatic then you must have heard of Leighton Meester, but maybe not her voice. One of the biggest celebrity trends among young starlets is thinking that just because they can act, they can sing too. Other actresses like Lindsay Lohan and Hayden Panettiere have tried their vocal chords but failed. So how will Leighton Meester fare in this arena?

 

This is however not the first time that Meester’s singing ambition has surfaced. She has in fact signed a recording contract with Universal Republic last April 2009. She was even featured in the Billboard Top 10 “Good Girls Go Bad” which is a Cobra Starship song.

Meester actually performed at The Venetian in Las Vegas last January 2. And after a four-song performance, Meester headed straight back to the set of Gossip Girl. Listen to Meester sing “Brithday” and be the judge if she has a future in singing, or if she should just stick to the boob tube.
